HALLOWEEN

November 3, 2013

well, i hope everyone had a happy halloween! halloween day felt a lot less eventful compared to others in the past. i almost thought i was going to have no reason to dress up! don't even ask what i was for halloween because i'm not so sure myself. i went to the halloween store and bought a blonde wig with no ideas in mind. so....i guess i'm either a chinese school girl or one of gwen stefani's harajuku girls.

i should have known when i pulled up for work that i would be the office's prime target for scaring. i walk into the building and there's a mannequin in the window holding a knife with fake blood on her face, along with other disassembled mannequins lying on the ground with fake blood. and all the lights were turned off. okaaaaaay i don't think so. i walked right out of the building to our other office, but knew i would have to eventually go back over. when i got the courage to head back over, i saw a woman that was walking out and asked her to open the door for me. it took me about ten minutes to make it from the door to my desk because i was walking so slow. so here we are, lights off, no one is talking, and then someone yelled and banged on the wall while i was walking past an office. i screamed and walked to my desk. after sitting at my desk for a few minutes, i could feel someone walking up behind me, and i turn around and there is someone with a huge Ernie mask on carrying an axe walking towards me saying nothing. later that day i found little fake rats in all of my stuff. the scares continued pretty much all throughout the day. we did have a fun halloween party accompanied with karaoke, food, a pinata, fog machine, dance lights, candy, and homemade rootbeer.

after work i headed to j.crew where i was the only one scheduled (and a manager) for the evening. i missed out on my best friend's awesome halloween party! :( oh well, next year right. i've probably already mentioned this, but everyone needs to watch the new girl season 2 halloween episode. i've been watching it over and over and still find it hilarious. also, if you haven't seen ellen's video where she sends her writers through a haunted house, you need to. see ya next year halloween!

 ^me and my cousin D who i freaking love^
^why do people have to be such creeps on halloween?! geeeeez. let's just keep it fun and lighthearted. haha if you don't already know, I HATE BEING SCARED. anything could startle me. and i wish it wasn't this way, but it just is. i was cleaning stuff out of a fitting room the other day and of course i'm in my own little world. a co-worker came in behind me and said "hey ju" and i jumped. she goes whoah didn't mean to scare you there. it's like i'm ready to pounce at any given moment, good crap! so anyways i'm walking to work and here's me and this freak alone on the sidewalk. i was having a panic attack inside, but trying to keep it cool so he didn't actually know i was freaking out inside. he starts walking towards me and i managed to stutter out "cool costume" and in this low, creepy, and slow voice he says "you're about as tall as i am". i about tripped in my heels walking past him, but i made it across the sidewalk so i'm just gonna give myself a little pat on the back for not actually running away. hope you all had a spooky halloween!
